Rasters — native 30 m
The two groupings into basin groups have no 30 m raster in this release; the groups are given by their tables and the simplified outlines below.
| File | What it is | Size |
|---|---|---|
| bsn_north-america_30m.tif | the basin mask at 1 arc-second: every land pixel carries the id of the outlet it drains to (all 30,077,037 outlets, not only the 105,581 basins of at least 1 km²) | 500 MB |
| rgn_north-america_30m_160deg2.tif | the region mask at 1 arc-second, capacity 160 square degrees (106 regions) | 231 MB |
| rgn_north-america_30m_80deg2.tif | the region mask at 1 arc-second, capacity 80 square degrees (201 regions) | 240 MB |
| rgn_north-america_30m_40deg2.tif | the region mask at 1 arc-second, capacity 40 square degrees (404 regions) | 251 MB |
Tables — native 30 m
The basin table: one row per basin of at least 1 km², in id order. The basin group tables and the region tables: one row per group or region, every column of the pipeline's own table, plus label_lon and label_lat, a point inside its largest part where its number goes on a map. The piece tables of the capacity partitions: one row per piece of a cut basin — the region it lies in, its outlet pixel, the inlet pixel of its parent piece (the piece it drains into) that its outlet flows into, downstream_depth (0 for the piece with the basin outlet, one more per piece upstream) and crossing_length_m, the distance in metres from the outlet pixel to the parent's inlet pixel; a piece's region is worked after the regions of the pieces upstream of it.

Read one window over HTTP
Every file here is served with HTTP range requests, so GDAL, rasterio and DuckDB can read a window straight off the network. The basin mask is a tiled GeoTIFF (512 × 512 blocks, DEFLATE); a point query reads one block.
