The basin mask assigns every land pixel of North America — the HydroSHEDS v2 extent, which holds the Arctic drainage as well (HydroBASINS units 7 and 8) — to the outlet it drains to: 30,077,037 basins, numbered by area, basin 1 the largest. The region masks divide the continent into regions, each computed at once, at capacities of 160, 80 and 40 square degrees (106, 201 and 404 regions). The tables list the 105,581 basins of at least 1 km² and every group, region and piece; the map draws the 27,618 basins of at least 10 km², simplified.
